Stop 01 · Curbside

The truck parks at the curb

White tank, teal capitals, both office numbers on the side. Two business days earlier you had a text, an email or a call saying it was coming.

Stop 02 · Off the reel

Hose pulled to the yard

Long sleeves for spray techs, blue button-down and charcoal pants. Colonial crews have worn a uniform since the first season in 1985.

Stop 03 · The lawn

Feed and weed control

Fertilizer plus pre and post-emergent weed control for dandelions, clover, bindweed, goathead and spurge. Kid and pet friendly once dry.

Stop 04 · Fence line

Edges, beds and rock

Pre-emergent treatment in rock and shrub bed areas. Full program clients get a warranty on breakthrough between scheduled applications.

Stop 05 · The house

Perimeter barrier

Foundation, eaves, windows, doors, vents and hose bibs, with webbing swept away. Exterior only, and you do not need to be home.

One of seven checks

Spring start-up, five visits through the season and fall winterization, with the watering schedule adjusted as the weather turns.

Start dates follow your bid: the goal is 7 to 14 business days after you accept it, and mid-April through May is the busiest stretch. After that the calendar below is what keeps the trucks moving.

Lawn care is calculated in 1,000 square foot increments. The base rate for 1,000 sq ft is $62, increasing by $8.25 per additional 1,000. Estimates are done in person, and we can give a rough satellite estimate first.

All the materials we use are EPA approved, and the federal label requirements state that children and pets are safe after the application has dried.

Yes. You get a notification two business days before service by text, email or phone, and texting is two-way with the office. The technician can work when you are not home.

Our goal is 7 to 14 business days after the accepted bid. Mid-April through May is the busiest stretch of the year.

No. A prepay discount is offered by email from November to January and expires in mid-February, but paying the year up front is never required.

We cannot guarantee the materials themselves. What we guarantee is service: if you are a full pre-emergent program client, we warranty our work for any breakthrough that happens between scheduled applications.
