How a Pasco lawn plan gets built

No two Pasco lawns need the same thing. Soil, sun exposure, irrigation coverage and the season all change what keeps a lawn thick and green. Before any work starts we schedule an in-person visit to walk the property and hear your concerns, and that visit decides which program fits and how treatments are timed.

Two business days before each scheduled service you get a notice by text, email or phone, so a spray truck at the curb is never a surprise.

  • Fertilization and weed control

    spring pre-emergent plus post-emergent follow-up.

  • Grub and insect management

preventive treatments inside the Premium program.

    for compacted or thinning turf.

  • Sprinkler maintenance and landscape enhancements

    seven irrigation visits a season.

Crabgrass first, then everything else

Crabgrass prevention starts with a spring pre-emergent applied before germination begins. Both the Premium and the Economy program include that application. Post-emergent treatments then handle what pushes through later in the year: dandelions, goatheads, bindweed, spurge, oxalis, clover and plantain.

Timing decides whether a treatment works, and our technicians apply each one when it will. If weeds show up between scheduled visits, call and a technician will follow up.

Premium or Economy

The Premium Lawn Program is six applications. It starts between mid-February and mid-March and finishes with a late-fall treatment around mid-November, with licensed technician inspections and lawn-damaging insect protection included. Economy covers the first four applications and generally ends around August.

Catching a problem in April is a lot easier than recovering from it in August, which is the case for the six visits.

Sandy soil, water and sprinklers

Sandy soil drains fast and does better with shorter, more frequent watering. Heavier soil holds moisture longer. Our sprinkler maintenance accounts for soil type, slope, drainage, shade and coverage rather than guessing, because no single watering schedule fits every lawn.

Colonial uses EPA-approved materials. Under the label requirements, children and pets can return to treated areas once the application has dried, and our pest control applications are pet friendly.
